The methodology
Except from making sure your conditions are the best possible by ensuring your equipment is the best possible the methodology is the easiest way to improve your vacuum cleanings result. That is, how I vacuum clean, how I move through the room, and how do I plan my vacuum cleaning. As with lawn moving most people tend to move in a certain pattern. The shortest way is generally the best way as the exhaust doesn’t stir up as much dust in that way. As a human being you tend to believe that vacuuming empty areas is easier but it is wrong. It is more efficient to vacuum clean areas with lots of obstacles in the way. Dust is generally stuck to where it is not disturbed, that is next to obstacles. So by focusing on vacuum cleaning around obstacles more dust is collected in shorter time.
